The contributions of new projects does not exceed about 35% of the portfolio of the Kuwaiti Egyptian Investment Company OR participating through an in kind share of 70% of the capital.

- Management should be taken over through an experienced partner, especially in case of new projects.
- Potential projects should be attractive.
- the final product or service provided Should be easy to market.
- The risks associated with any project should be well studied.
- The project should have a potential to grow.
- A balanced financing structure with a minimum equity of 50%.
- The project should be profitable and have positive cash flows.

- Investment in a single sector shall not exceed 40% of the total investment portfolio and the investment in any project shall not exceed 25% of the total investment portfolio.

- The project shall be re-evaluated every 3 years in order to make a decision to continue or exit.
- The internal rate of return of any potential project must be higher than the rate of return on T-bills plus the country's risk rate plus an acceptable profit rate for the company.
- Reconsidering wither to continue or exit of from a project after the redemption of the paid in capital.
